+M 19 MERKEL ROTOMATIC Rotary Shaft Seal

The M19 sealing ring consists of the elastomer rubber part with fabric reinforcement on the sliding surface and plastic anti-extrusion rings. The medium collects in the lubricating groove on the sliding surface and acts as a lubricant. This improves lubrication as well as reducing friction and frictional heat. This sealing element can withstand high pressures due to the anti-extrusion rings bridging the extrusion gap, and the seals can be fitted into recessed groove housings.

Merkel M16
+RADIAMATIC R58 Shaft Seal

The R 58 Radiamatic shaft seal is designed for rolling mills and large gear mechanisms in heavy-duty machine construction. They consist of a fabric reinforced section of sturdy design, firmly bonded to the rubber sealing lip. A helical tension spring assists radial contact pressure of the lip on the shaft. The R 58 has been developed to meet the special requirement of grease-lubricated bearing in rolling mill applications. The shaft seals are installed with the sealing lip towards the outside (against water and sinter). The sealing lip, designed to have a higher contact pressure, ensures that only the required seal lubrication film is allowed to pass.

Merkel R58
+M17 Rotary Shaft Seal

The M17 sealing ring consists of a rubber part held firmly on both sides by fabric blocks, providing lubrication on the sliding surface. The fabric blocks prevent the seal from extruding into the sealing gap and, with the sealing element firmly held at the outside diameter, they prevent circumference distortion.

Merkel M17

The Radiamatic 1635 shaft sealing rings are installed backto- back. A lantern ring is included so that lubricant can be forced between the sealing rings. They are used whenever adequate lubrication is ensured by the medium to be sealed.

+RADIAMATIC R36 Shaft Seal

The Style 1636 shaft sealing rings are used when additional lubrication is necessary from the outside. These sealing rings are usually fitted in pairs back-to-back. This combination effectively seals the bearing lubricant and prevents the penetration of dust and splash water. The lubrication is fed between the sealing rings by means of the groove in the circumference of the sealing housing and the radial groove in the seal body.

The sealing rings have a peripheral groove on the outer periphery in addition to the radial grooves.
